“Mean Girls” just got a little less mean.
The 2024 musical film adaptation of the 2004 cult classic has axed a controversial joke made at Lindsay Lohan’s expense.
In the film’s theatrical release, rapper Megan Thee Stallion appeared in an onscreen TikTok video alongside a snap of Angourie Rice, who takes on Lohan’s iconic role as Cady Heron. Like Lohan, Rice is also a redhead in the film.
“OK, so somebody sent me this look and I was like, ‘Hot girls, we are going back red, Y2K fire crotch is back,’” the “WAP” rapper, 29, said.
The digital version of the movie, however, has nixed the “fire crotch” joke after a rep for Lohan, 37, said she was “very hurt and disappointed” by the insult.
It seems the “Parent Trap” actor, who made a cameo in the film 20 years after originating the role of Cady, wasn’t even given a heads up about the line by screenwriter Tina Fey, who is a longtime friend of Lohan.
Back in January, a source told the now-defunct The Messenger that the new mom was “surprised and taken aback” when she first heard the reference at the New York City premiere of the film.
The insult originated in 2006 when socialite Brandon Davis was filmed leaving a nightclub with sisters Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton.
The now-viral video showed Davis ranting to the paparazzi about Lohan’s vagina, calling it “stinky,” “orange” and infamously a “fire crotch.”

The failed musician, who is now married to Ashley Benson, cackled over the joke with Paris, who was frenemies with the “Just My Luck” star at the time.
The video even fueled a years-long feud between the early aughts icons that only ended a couple of years ago.
In January 2022, the “Paris In Love” star, now 43, finally told fans that “everything was all good” between her and the “Freaky Friday” actress, noting that they were both “grown ups now.”
Lohan has also moved on. She welcomed a baby boy named Luai with husband Bader Shammas last year, and spends most of her time in Dubai.
